We want you to know how we handle the information you send us via the internet. Our Privacy Policy adapts to the internet's dynamic environment. We keep you informed by updating this Privacy Policy as our procedures change. Please review it occasionally to remain informed. This is the way we handle information:
Information Collection and Use
Clinical Formula is the sole owner of the information collected on www.clinicalformula.com. We collect information from our visitors at several different points on our Web site.
Visitor-Keyed Information
We retain information provided by our visitor, such as registration information, transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) and contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number).
Our visitor also has the ability to correct inaccuracies in contact information and unique identifiers. .
On request with verification, we will give the visitor a reminder with unique identifier information (e.g., customer number or password).
We do not share our customers' information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a website that is saved on your hard disk by your computer's browser. It holds information a site may need to interact with you and personalize your experience. We use two kinds of cookies, session cookies and persistent cookies.
Session cookies exist only for as long as your browser remains open. Once you exit your browser, they go away. We use session cookies to maintain information we need to have in order for you to shop at our site. For example, the Session_ID cookie that we ask your browser to hold retains the ID for your shopping bag. Without the Session_ID cookie, you cannot add merchandise to your bag or make any purchases.
Persistent cookies, in contrast, last from visit to visit; they do not go away when you exit your browser. You can browse our site without accepting a persistent cookie. However, you cannot add merchandise to your bag or make any purchases. You may set your browser options to reject persistent cookies. Alternatively, you can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, which provides you with the opportunity to decide whether you want to accept it or not. In many instances, the "help" button on your browser tool bar will tell you how you can take these steps.
E-mail Addresses
When a visitor gives us her or his e-mail address, or sends us e-mail correspondence, we retain such e-mail address. We do not share our e-mail lists with third parties for marketing purposes. We use e-mail addresses to communicate with you regarding your orders and other matters regarding transactions between us or your customer relationship with us. We may also use your e-mail address to share information about our products and services that may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving such promotional messages from us at any time. If we do send you a promotional e-mail, you will be given the opportunity to decline receiving similar e-mails in the future. If you wish to decline receiving such emails in the future, please click here.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving customer data exchanged with our site server. All other data transfer is conducted through a secure phone or cable line.
When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just 'surfing'.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our users' information is protected. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment, in a locked facility.
Disclosure
If required by law, court order or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise advisable, we may disclose your information.
